Nicaya Kennels Siberian Rescue & Adoption Program
|
Nicaya Kennels is proud to present our Siberian Rescue & Adoption Program. Our Siberian Rescue & Adoption Program is a service that we are proud to offer to help the beautiful Siberians out there that need a good home so that they can live a good life with a loving and caring family that understands the needs of a Siberian Husky. We are happy to work with other Rescue & Adoption Services to help locate good homes for Siberian Huskies in need. We will also adopt Siberian Huskies into our own kennels that we feel will make good sled dogs so that they will have the opportunity to "be all they can be" as a sled dog as they were born to be!
We will also be offering for adoption some of our own sled dogs to selected good homes. These are sled dogs that we have that we are willing to adopt into families or to individuals that understand the needs of a Siberian Husky Sled Dog and who wants a good loving companion or who is in need of a sled dog for a beginning team, cart pulling or ski-joring. These dogs will range from trained sled dogs to retirees to youngsters that we feel would not make our long- distance race team. They all will be good dogs for a family companion or a beginning team.
For more information on our Siberian Rescue & Adoption Program, please, don't hesitate to contact us.

Siberian Huskies Up For Adoption
|
Our dogs are like family and when the occasion presents itself that we have an
adult, yearling or puppy available for adoption, we take the matter very seriously
and with much duress.
Our litters are currently being bred for the sole purpose of enhancing our sled dog
race team. We are not breeding for profit, nor sell or adopt any of our puppies
under the age of 3 months. All of our puppies are screened by us for the potential
viability as a long-distance sled dog team member.
If there is someone that you are interested in, please contact us. When the said
adult becomes available, we will be sure to put you at the top of the waiting list for
adoption.
If you are seeking to add a Siberian Husky to your family for the first time, please
do your research by reading available information about Siberian Huskies,
visiting other breeders, interviewing other Siberian owners, and discussing with
your family the responsibility it takes to bring a Siberian into your family. This is
not a breed for everyone, as such, we prefer to place our dogs with persons who are
active outdoor enthusiasts and/or have prior experience with Siberian Huskies or
other Nordic breeds. We have a comprehensive fact sheet about Siberian Huskies
available, upon request. This fact sheet is also part of our adoption program and
must be fully understood.
Nicaya Kennels will screen all persons interested in adopting one of our Siberians
for suitability so that we will be insured that they will be placed into a loving and
caring home that understands the special needs of a Siberian Husky.
Available Dogs
After very careful consideration and some heart-felt pains, we have decided to put
the following dogs up for adoption. If you are looking to adopt a Siberian Husky
and are interested in one of these dogs, please, contact us for more information on
the dog of interest and details on our adoption process.
Thank you for your consideration and willingness to help a Siberian Husky!

Salty - a 3 year old black & white blue-eyed neutered
male. Lost his tail in an injury as a puppy and
really cannot run on a sled team. He is a sweet boy
and would make a good companion and yard dog.
Timber - a 3 year old red & white blue-eyed
neutered male. Timber has some sled experience as
a team dog and wheel dog. He is a strong boy and
would make a good wheel dog for short-distances. He
is sweet and lovable and would make a good
companion or sled dog for a recreational team. He is
large framed and is just not made for long-distance
racing.
Orion & Sophie are blue-eyed piebalds. They are 1 year old and have been
in a harness. They both are fixed. We have evaluated both of them as a race
team members and have decided to continue with their training. *At this
time, these two beautiful dogs are currently NOT available for adoption.
