General Update May 3, 2008 Nicaya Kennels Update Greetings to all of our friends, family, sponsors and guests: We would like to take a moment of your time and give you a Nicaya Kennels Update. With the valuable information and experience we gained from this year's race season, we will greatly improve our race team for the 2008/2009 race-season and the years to come. With new ideas and training techniques in hand, a lot of input from Karen Ramstead, Rob Gregor's willingness to help us with our pre-season training, and new youngsters coming to age, we believe we will have a great team this year that will help put back the competitiveness into the Siberian Husky breed. We have eleven new Kids coming to age and being trained for this year's race-season which will greatly expand the number of Kids that are available to us for our 2008/2009 race team. Of these eleven Kids, we are working with four of them (Alex, Celestine, Nicaya & Rusty) as new command leaders to add to our command leader pool. This will greatly improve our teams flexibility and performance. With new training techniques and a new training schedule, the Kids will be ready for this year's racing season with what is looking to be outstanding performance. Go to the Race Report page for the complete story on our 2007/2008 races. New Announcements Nicaya Kennels is proud to announce that we now have an official Dog Sled Education Program to offer to our local schools to help educate the kids of our community on dog sledding, dog sled racing and dog care. So, visit the new page of our website for more information! Nicaya Kennels is, also, now providing a Siberian Rescue & Adoption service. We will be working to help Siberians in need to find new loving and caring homes. We will work together with other adoption services so that these beautiful animals will always have good homes and live a long life. We will also offer through this program some of our own kids to selected homes. So, visit the new page of our website for more information! Please, welcome Max, our new Kennel & Race Team Ambassador!
